Fly Fishing in New Zealand. A Complete and Comprehensive Work on Fly Fishing by George Ferris. 1972, republished 1976. This comprehensive book covers each phase of the sport of Fly Fishing in every stream and waterway of the Dominion - from the dust jacket.
A revised and updated edition of George Ferris' classic work on fly fishing in New Zealand. A great deal on dry fly fishing, in both rivers and lakes, including the use of the dry fly at night. Two good chapters on entomology (certainly of use to the visiting angler) and a couple of small chapters on nymphs and wet flies. This edition has had the section on individual trout waters removed entirely presumably as it was felt they were no longer up-to-date. The foreword is by the Hon. H.J. Walker, Minister of Tourism.
The dust jacket has many small tears and general wear along the edges. The book remains in a tidy condition. Previous owners name or inscription on inside front page.
